Mahapurusha Samstanuvarnanam

Chapter 1 of Skandha 2, titled Mahapurusha Samstanuvarnanam, opens with a majestic vision of the Universal Form of the Supreme Being as narrated by Sri Suka Brahmarishi to King Parikshit.

With only seven days left before his destined departure, Parikshit seeks the highest spiritual knowledge that can liberate the soul. In response, Suka describes the cosmic body of the Mahapurusha (Supreme Person)—a vision where the entire creation is seen as His form:

  • The planets and stars as His limbs
  • The oceans as His belly
  • The mountains as His bones
  • The rivers as His veins
  • All beings as parts of His eternal existence

This grand description invites the listener to meditate upon the Lord not as a distant entity, but as the very universe itself—pervading all, sustaining all, and beyond all.

This 8-minute 14-second Sanskrit chanting transports the listener into the awe-inspiring vastness of divine creation and prepares the mind for deeper spiritual contemplation.
